Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent series! Comment: Not to be confused with Fox's crummy Kitchen Nightmares. We see more of the real Gordon Ramsay: passionate, brilliant and funny. He's still critical but he seems actually genuine in helping failing restaurateurs out. The American version always paste him as a Simon Cowell cut out which is a shame. His emphasis on using local, fresh ingredients and keeping things simple seems like the obvious answer and it's entertaining to watch him remind bad chefs out there who sometimes follow his advice. The episodes in this 2 DVD set include: 1-Bonaparte's 2-The Glass House 3-The Walnut Tree 4-Moore Place 5-La Laterna 6-D-Place 7-Momma Cheri's Soul Food Shack 8-La Riviera In short, some of the episodes are addicting and you find yourself cheering them on. There was one problem with the DVD and that was during episode 7, my player would stop right in the middle. But other than that, I eagerly await volume 2! This series is a great one for anyone interested in how to turn around a failing business, not just restaurants. The only thing that would make it better is to have more insight into the thinking behing Ramsay's decisions.
