Summary: Great Counterpart for Thrive Diet
Comment: This is a d.i.y. take on veganism for athletes. Keep that in mind- the focus is more on athletes and their training and how veganism works for them. Hence the title Vegan Fitness.

It's fairly comprehensive, and a great companion to Thrive Diet. You see them shopping, cooking, and working out. It's for converts seeking practical fitness and dietary advice. Given the severe lack of that information, this is a great place to start.

Summary: A Good Start
Comment: This video is pretty informative and good for people just starting out,but if you have been vegan it dosnt really give too much new advice, most of its common sense (ie dont eat a lot of junk food even if it is vegan) I also think Tonya while well meaning is sort of a stereotype a lot of people have about vegans (nomad-hippies etc) and this image makes a lot of people unwilling to try veganism......all in all this film is pretty much for people who arejust starting out

Editorial Reviews:

"Vegan Fitness - Built Naturally", featuring the Vegan Fitness Team, was released in December, 2005. Starring Robert Cheeke, Natural Bodybuilder, Brendan Brazier, Professional Ironman Triathlete and Tonya Kay, Professional Dancer, this feature-length movie shows how vegans live, eat, train and compete. This movie is ideal for anyone interested in living a healthy lifestyle - vegans, vegetarians, athletes, and anyone who is concerned about health and fitness. The movie features the life of three successful vegan athletes; Natural Bodybuilder Robert Cheeke, Professional Ironman Triathlete Brendan Brazier, and Professional Dancer Tonya Kay. The movie covers all aspects of their lives including their nutrition programs, their training programs, and their vegan fitness lifestyles, how they promote veganism, what a typical day is like for them, and how they became successful in their chosen sport. The movie also covers live competition, intense training, vegan shopping, a vegan potluck, behind the scenes of contest preparation, and much more.
