A giant hurricane came on the New England shore in 1938, and this film shows how the Works Project Administration came in and tried to stop the bleeding. / The River (1937) 30 minutes - This is a great documentary about the Mississippi River and the way it has been exploited. It shows the side of the people who use the river for their own economic benefit as well as the side of the people who are trying to stop the misuse of the river. / Rain For The Earth (Incomplete ~ No Ending) (1937) 10 minutes - This film discusses the desperation that the drying land caused the Dust Bowl farmers and their families, as well as the U.S. government's failed attempts to help the people maintain their farms.
