Summary: Worth it!
Comment: This was a very good dvd. The best part is after doing it 2 times it didn't hurt me anymore but it is still effective! After a week or so, of doing this, my pants were a little looser. I use to wear a size 14 and weighed 175 pounds! Now I can fit a twelve(which is still a little loose but 10 is too tight)and only weigh 168. The music or the girls get off beat during the last dance scene. There are really five basic steps to this. I think the camera man had a crush on the girl in orange cause it kept zooming in to her.I don't know how but this truly works your abs. I truly sweat when I do this. I'm not trying to sell you this dvd skeptics, but it does work. Besides, if you bought this you'd look and feel as great as I do.

Summary: Good out-weighs the bad!
Comment: This is a fun workout! It doesn't feel like a workout when you first start, it's more of a dance with some lunges and squats mixed in! Kili focuses on the legs, butt, and abbs/back. You don't really feel it till the end of the 30 min and especially the next day! I could barely move my legs! I've had this DVD (and with no prior knowledge of hula) for about a week and am still finding some of the moves difficult. I think that she moves too fast for someone who is a begginner. She needs to have an intro that shows proper posture and foot work in the extras, they don't show much of this in the DVD. The camera seems to love the three women's bellies more than the whole picture! But the music is upbeat Hawaiian drums and the dance that she teaches you is fun to do!
All in all I think this is a very good DVD! Had I watched a preview of it first I still would have bought it but, I think you really should do an instructional DVD first.
The Special Features of this DVD include other workout trailers of Kili's, a bonus dance (no instruction), and the option of doing the workout without Kili's instruction (but with the music).

Summary: If you're looking for fun and different
Comment: I read every review and felt good about buying this with the knowledge that I wouldnt get my heart rate up, but yet this would be a good addition and change for my workout. Having done it, I really enjoy the different elements it brings to my normal step, Firm and other DVD workouts. I get bored with traditional DVD's focusing on abs only so if you do too, you will like using this DVD for abs and legs.

Yes, there are squats and the focus is to take pressure off your back during the swivels/sways and place that into your legs. Coordination will come with time and shouldnt be a de-motivator.. whats the point of picking it up right away? I really like the possibility of tonining my obliques, abs, legs with this 40-min workout.

I can defintely see a good workout library containing all of Kili's DVD's and inserting them at least weekly through one's workout regimen for variety and a challenge.

Summary: Off Beat Cardio
Comment: The dance moves are easy to follow, the percussion background is fun, but there are parts of the workout that are completely off beat, i.e. the movements don't match the drum beats and skip a beat, and this happens at least twice and bugs the hell out of me.

Cool down segment is nice, and all in all I like the DVD but would use it more often it weren't for the annoying off-beat parts!

Summary: Not high cardio, but still a good, fun workout
Comment: I wouldn't say that this is a full-body workout and I wouldn't even say it is cardio. However, you will enjoy learning the 5 basic Tahitian moves and incorporating it into a FUN and sexy exercise! Your legs and abs will get a fantastic workout. I do think it would be better though, if Kili (the instructor) explained the footwork a bit more and not just what to do with your hips. All in all, it is a fun little dvd to add to my repertoire and is definitely worth a try!
