Customer Rating: Summary: Love it! Comment: I love this yoga DVD. It's soothing and I feel stretched out and relaxed afterwards. The instructor explains the poses well and gives modifications if you aren't that flexible/advanced. It's short enough that I can squeeze it in when I don't have time for a full-length workout.
Customer Rating: Summary: Best Yoga DVD I've tried so far Comment: I started Yoga after I tried it with my new Wii Fit (I read some others have done the same).
I've read many reviews on yoga DVDs here at Amazon and other Yoga webites, and have tried several DVDs so far and this one turned out to be the best one that I use everyday.
One reviewer said Sara is too chatty but I don't feel that way. I don't like unfocused, non-stop talking especially when I try to relax doing Yoga but Sara is not that way. She talks quitely and calmly, but gives clear instructions to do it right to a beginner like myself. Routine has a nice flow and 42 minutes go so quickly with her.
I also like this DVD becasue she gives enough time to relax for each posture. There are other good DVDs but some of them are missing this important part of yoga workout.
One thing I am not crazy about is the "background" which made me give a 4 star instead of 5. There are about 9 peopple doing Yoga with Sara and one of them, the most flexible one, keeps looking at the camera. Sara tells Yoga is not a competition but I can't help thinking she is trying to impress us by showoing how good she is and I find her annoying. My solutions? I close my eyes when she comes up. LOL :)
Overall, this is my favorite Yoga DVD and I will try other Yoga DVDs by Sara.
Customer Rating: Summary: The DVD Who Made Me Comment: This title seems a bit much to the average person but really this gave me the stepping stones for my yoga practice. A therapist suggested this yoga for me when I was 14 to deal with severe panic attacks and anxiety. So I took myself down to the local store and this was the only VHS on yoga available, I bought it and took it home.
I've never looked back since. Years have gone by and I'm now going to get certified to be a yoga instructor in the fall. And it all started with this simple little video. I suggest it to all newbies. While I have outgrown it , I still find it fun to watch it. It's not intimidating, the instructor's voice is pleasant, it gives a nice variety of what yoga is, and it is worth every penny!
Customer Rating: Summary: I NEVER GOT THIS! Comment: I am sick of ordering and reordering this from different vendors and NEVER RECIEVING IT!!! I've been waiting MONTHS for this. The shipping date comes and goes. I write the vendors (PLURAL) nobody write me BACK! I have no dvd that I paid twice for! WHAT THE HECK?! This dvd is cursed I swear! I am just not meant to have it!
Customer Rating: Summary: great relaxation, stretching &flexibilty dvd Comment: Very happy with this dvd, great instructor, great moves, good for beginners, really helps stretch out, breath, and find center. Should do it every night!

The name may suggest a bedtime yoga routine, but these deep stretches and restorative postures are also appropriate in conjunction with a cardio or strength training workout--or as a stress buster at any time of day. Instructor Sara Ivanhoe has a soothing, encouraging manner, but dispenses with the pseudo-spiritualism of some programs (as opposed to the real Eastern philosophy espoused in more serious efforts). She takes the time to explain the essential yogic breathing and each posture is clearly demonstrated--including modifications. After seated stretches, she teaches a series of kneeling cat poses, launches into down dog, and a standing twist. For balance: tree pose, then lunges, forward bends, and a butterfly stretch. This 43-minute practice isn't particularly advanced or strenuous, so beginners will be fine. Also included is a 16-minute "wake-up" routine, intended specifically for energizing in the morning with a standing cat stretch, pyramid pose and a squat. --Kimberly Heinrichs
