Summary: excellent resource for those recovering
Comment: 2 people I know have this bible and carry it everywhere they go. I gave it to a girl recovering from addiction. The memos and commentary on the side of the Bible passages are excellent. A lot of "food for thought".
If you are in recovery or have a friend who is, it is a great gift.
I also enjoy reading it, it is very easy to comprehend and very helpful divine inspiration.

Comment: I used this Bible in our Men's AV meetings and it has work extremely welll for men who are deal with recovery and want a spiritual approach to their recovery. The use of this Bible helps to bring a spiritual element that is not in the AA meetings.

Comment: A recovery bible in the NLT translation is the perfect match. Over 80 translators were involved in translating from the original languages. It is very accurate. PLUS, very easy to read. You don't need to have a PHD to understand what God wants us to know. And, it's so nice to have the 12-step influences throughout the book. An extra bonus for those struggling with addictions. Is there anyone that's not? The hardcover version is so nice...made to last for many years. I've heard that prison chaplains can't get enough of these. They are so in demand...and for good reason.
