Customer Rating: Summary: Yoga for Wimps Comment: /very good instructions for those not able to do regular or more strenuous yoga poses. Especially helpful to those handicapped by age, arthritis or recovering from an illness or surgery.
Customer Rating: Summary: Practical Yoga for Anyone Comment: This is a beautifully written, clear guide to yoga that would be of use to anyone, whether you can touch your toes or can barely touch your knees. Miriam Austin has tremendous expertise in yoga and is especially gifted in teaching ways to work with your own body and its limitations. Read this and improve your health, flexibility, and self-confidence. A classic that is not just for wimps.
Customer Rating: Summary: Low on theory, low on production values Comment: This book is not nearly as good as the reviews led me to believe. It has no "theory" at all, just an apparently random set of disconnected postures. The production is at the bottom end of commercial products. A number of private jokes among the participants, but not very much for a buyer.
Customer Rating: Summary: just what I needed Comment: As a total beginner, this book has been wonderful. Easy to understand and leaves me feeling a little less "wimpy".
Customer Rating: Summary: request for mechanical change Comment: The book is wonderful, if only the publisher made it a book which could be laid flat, different binding
